A Possible Giveaway

What does this look like to you? Yes, it is money. Very good. Notice how it is in numerical order, and all facing the same way? I used to be a manager of a bank and I am still kinda crazy about my money being in order.

Alright, we established that this is neat and tidy money. But that wasn't what I was trying to get at. Let's ask again. What does this MONEY look like? No, not a fun night at a strip club, you dirties. Forget it, I'll just tell you. It is the winnings of a Superbowl pool! I won $50 in the first half and the hubby won another $50 at the end of the game. How is that for lucky? I love it.

It turned out to be a great day, even though my lovely Packers weren't there. I won some money, ate a ton of fabulous food at my in-laws house, and watched the Giants crush the Patriots winning streak and record breaking dream. A good time was had.

Although I must say I was a bit disappointed in the Superbowl commercials. Bo-ring! There were only a few that I thought were truly funny. I really liked the Justin Timberlake commercial were he is being dragged through the street. Very funny. I loved the dalmation training the horse commercial, because I am always a sucker for animals. The talking stain commercial was very clever. But I think my favorite was the one where the guy was hooked up to jumper cables and jump started the car by dancing. That was hilarious!! I think the worst commercial had to be Naomi Cambell dancing with the lizards. Did anyone even understand that? I just didn't get it.

What did you think of the Superbowl? Did you have any favorite commercials? Or better yet, did you win any Superbowl pools?

Well, I was thinking that I would like to pass on some of my lucky winnings with a friendly little giveaway.
What I'd like to know from you is, what would you like? Some yummy chocolates for Valentine's Day? A lovely book to curl up with? A funky mug with some tasty tea or coffee? Or what about cold hard cash to do what ever you want with? Perhaps a $20 Visa giftcard? I think I might just put a poll (yes, another one) on the side of my blog and let each of you cast your vote. So tell me y'all, what do ya want?

Please excuse any spelling errors. For some reason my spell check has not been working for the past 3 days. Grrrrr.

My favorite commercial was the Ben Roethlisberger American Idol commercial. I have watched it at least a dozen times this morning and it still makes me giggle.

My favorite part of the game was watching Brady go SPLAT! Good times, good times.

Oh yeah, me too on the spell check. I thought it was me, but it must be a blogger thing.

Coming back one.more.time to tell you I found info on the spell check thing. It's a known bug, and blogger is working on it.

Blogger is nuts. It just told me the polls were down. grr. (cold hard cash, vote, here!)

How awesome that you won some moola! That certainly makes the night fun.
I agree...commercials sucked. I laughed maybe once. oh well :( At least the patriots lost!! haha.

Congrats on winning the pool! (I never win...)

I didn't get to watch the Super Bowl...well, I suppose I could have, but it didn't start until after midnight here! Plus the endless migraine (which is pretty much just an annoyance right now...hurts, but I can deal) makes me not want to stay up all night. And to have it be such a good game (well, my dad said, "possibly the best Super Bowl fourth quarter I've ever seen")...but oh well. I'll be able to watch in a couple years, once we move back to the States...

I didn't really understand WHY the lizards were dancing with her...I must say, I've never seen a lizard get down like that :) I thought the jumper cables hooked up to the guy dancing was kind of gross. lol. Everyone seemed to grab their (own) "boobies" when that one came on. Hah.
I can't even remember all of the commercials...I wasn't too awfully impressed with most of them though.
So...yes...I voted on the cold hard cash :) Because, if I won, I could support some local business with my business. :)
Hubby will be gone the whole Valentine's WEEK...so 20 bucks to spend on moi...that would be nice :)

Have a wonderful day, hun!

Ditto to your evaluation of the commercials. And ditto to your spell check not working - what's up Blogger!?!?!

Congrats on winning some moolah on the Giants!

I voted for the book - I can always use a good new read!

Oh I liked the dancing lizards! No idea who the lady was but now I do LOL. Thanks.

I liked the talking stain and talking baby commercials.

HATED the gross heart one. ICK!

Congrats on your winnings!!

What is up with blogger?

Congrats on your winnings. I never win anything. But if I had to choose my prize it would be lunch. I never treat myself to a decent meal. It is always leftover chicken nuggets and fish sticks before they make there way into the garbage. Yes? LOL.

My spell check isn't working either! What the heck!
I'm always pretty thrilled with any giveaways, so whatever YOU think is fun.

I watch the Superbowl to be nice to my husband (it's the only football game of the year that I watch) and I usually only pay attention during the commercials but I have to admit that 4th quarter was pretty exciting. I liked the talking baby commercials best this year minus the throw up part. I agree with Beck, any giveaway is great.

I missed them all. Silly UK TV stations don't carry the Super Bowl for some reason. I did get to watch FOX news people TALK about it though. :-(
I voted book since the stupid USPS ATE mine that I won from Jen M at Getinthecar :-(
Congrats Kathryn-- you're on a roll!

I saw the JT ad yesterday as well, during the Super Bowl. It's certainly eye-catching.

Congratulations on the win.

I've added you to my blogroll. Please let me know if that's OK with you - just drop a comment on my blog to let me know.

I liked the blacked-out commercial... oh, wait, that was the inside of my eyelids during my annual Super Bowl Slumber. The last two times I actually attempted to watch the Super Bowl, I passed out, and my body seems to just know it's supposed to do that now. I appreciated my wife let me sleep because I was feeling like my head was cracking, so my vote is money for her.

Congratulations on winning! I watched bits and pieces of the game, so I didn't see all the commercials.

I loved that baby finance commercial (where he used his extra coin to buy a clown)!

I so wished I had 3 and 7 for numbers for the bowl game. I'm glad NYG won since our pack didn't make it. But next year, there's ALWAYS next year! :)

I thought I was the only one with spellcheck problems.

Congrats on the money! How fun. It cracks me up that you have to organize it.

I missed many of the commercials, but I really liked the Pepsi one where they were all falling asleep and then they woke up and did the SNL dance. Silly.

I loved the Justin Timberlake one, myself!

I voted for chocolate. Can you tell what my weakness is? I don't find money too exciting- I guess that's yet another of my oddities!
Congrats on winning the pool!

Congrats on your win! I voted for money, but that's only because chocolate has been evil to me lately!

I was rooting for the Giants too. I figured if it couldn't be the Packers it might as well stay in the NFC! The Patriots were too cocky for my liking.

I Vote Chocolate Always!
I also vote for Paczki's -
For Fat Tuesday! I knoe they're
not no your list but I love em!
My spell check is dead also.

We actually didn't watch the game this year. We don't do TV at our house, but we've gone to a friend's the last few years to watch the Super Bowl. This year, Dave just wanted a quiet evening with the kids as he left today for another week on the road.

Yeah for your winnings! I vote for the book, but cash is always nice.

I love that you won! You rock K! Can you believe I didn't watch any of it? I can't.

I didn't watch the Superbowl - football for me ends with the Grey Cup. Congratulations on winning the pool, though!

I'm new to your blog and was so happy when I saw another Packer fan out there! We are Packer freaks! We actually went to see them in action this year and loved it!!!

Anyway, I'm with ya......the commercials were lame this year!

Have a great day!

Congrats on the moo-lah! I voted :)
I was a bit disappointed with the commercials this year...I can't say I had a favorite...

Hello! I'm new to your blog. I was also disappointed in the Superbowl commercials this year. My fave part was the Tom Petty performance! Sounds like you had a fun time.

Have I ever mentioned that I love the photos to the right with all the faces in the leaves? COuldn't remember and I was just looking at them again~so stinkin cute!

My fav commercial (bear with me I missed alot of it) I enjoyed the Coke ad with the parade balloons~ I like Charlie Brown, the poor guy might land on his back kicking a football, but he came through this time. :) Love your poll.

You know how I felt about the Bowl and the commercials! We are on the same page--not as exciting as previous years (the commercials--that is). How cool that you won something! The last thing I won was a He Man action figure from Bubblicious gum.

How cool for you to share your winnings--are you sure you just don't want to buy yourself a bottle of red wine (supposed to be good for you), dark chocolate (good for you too), and strawberries dipped in dark chocolate (really good for you)???

We don't have cable coming into our house so we didn't see any of the superbowl. Also- as you well may already know- we don't watch football. I would've loved to see the commercials though... also, the gift card would be a cool idea! I'll cast my vote on your little poll thingy. Have a great day- and yay, for the winnings! =)

Words To Live By

Be grateful for each new day.
A new day that you have never lived before.
Twenty-four new, fresh, unexplored hours to use usefully and profitably.
We can squander, neglect, or use them.
Life will be richer or poorer by the way we use today.
Finish every day and be done with it.
You have done what you could;
some blunders and absurdities crept in;
forget them as soon as you can.
Tomorrow is a new day.
You shall begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be
encumbered with your old nonsense.

-Ralph Waldo Emerson
