Beautifully... depressing. Bye bye summer :-(
this photo would make a really nice desktop, wouldn't it! A way to keep a little summer for months to come.

Gorgeous!
And just last week my Sam brought one in that he had found on the garage floor. It was in perfect condition!
They truly are wonders!

Butterflies are my all-time favorite buggies. I see them now when I run- and I'm ALWAYS wishing I had my camera when I see them. good pic!

It's hard to say goodbye to summer! Enjoyed reading your past posts - I'm a mother of 3 boys too. Had to wait for grandchildren to get girls and then I got 4 in a row :)

I adore monarchs. They are starting to migrate back through here on their way to Mexico.

Since my son died I have seen butterflies as a promise of hope. The day we buried him a butterfly fluttered under the tent and hovered right above the pastor's head. Never can I see a butterfly without thinking of Heaven. Your post whispers to me "The best is yet to come ... don't mourn what passes."

I'm off to the garden to dance with the butterflies. : )

We have some monarch caterpillars in the house right now. One has already turned into a butterfly. We do it every year and the kids LOVE it! Another one should be ready to fly tomorrow!

Words To Live By

Be grateful for each new day.
A new day that you have never lived before.
Twenty-four new, fresh, unexplored hours to use usefully and profitably.
We can squander, neglect, or use them.
Life will be richer or poorer by the way we use today.
Finish every day and be done with it.
You have done what you could;
some blunders and absurdities crept in;
forget them as soon as you can.
Tomorrow is a new day.
You shall begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be
encumbered with your old nonsense.

-Ralph Waldo Emerson
