Me: "I can't marry you because I'm your mommy, hon. And I'm already married to daddy. Someday you will find a smart, lovely, sweet, funny, beautiful girl to marry."
Joey: "I don't want to marry anyone else. I want to marry you!"
Tommy: "I want to marry you too, mom!"
Todd: "I'm married to mommy! You boys will find your own special girl to marry someday."
Joey and Tommy: "I don't want to! I want to marry mommy!"
Me: "Aww. You boys are so sweet to your mumma."
Joey: "Fine! Forget it! I don't wanna get married then."
Tommy: "Me either!"
Me: "Why not?"
Joey: "I dunno."Me: "Well, you don't have to worry about that for a long time."
Joey: "No. I don't want to! I want to live with you forever and ever."
Tommy: "Me too!"
Me: "You might change your mind when you get older sweetie."
Joey: "No! I don't want to get married! I want to stay here with you!"
Tommy: "Me too!"
Me: "Okay. You don't have to get married if you don't want to."
Joey: "Thanks, mumma."
Me: "Sure hon."
Joey: "I love you, mum."
Tommy: "I love you, mumma."
Me: "I love you too, you silly boys."

So sweet. Oh what I would give to keep my kids that in love with me. It fades too quickly.
very sweet!
"No boys. Two of you are lucky enough to get to marry one of Lisa over at Life with Our Little Ladies daughters. There real names aren't Goosey & Lulu, so don't be scared - but you will make such beautiful children together"!
Seriously though - can't get much sweeter!
oh my gosh! How sweet!!!! I love how the hubby steps in to claim his wife!
That is about as sweet as it gets! Lucky you blogged this. You can look back on it when they hit their teenage years :) lol
Okay, I really need a little boy. This just breaks my heart it is so sweet! What a lucky momma you are!
That is just too sweet. Maybe I want this to be a boy now?! But in a couple years, I don't know?
awwwwwww
you know, after watching the way my girls worshipped their daddy like this when they were so small it was a bit of a treat to have a boy and be on the receiving end of such adoration. it's awfully cute.
My boys have gone through this too. So sweet. All of my kids also went through a stage where they didn't want to go to college because they didn't want to live away from home. My oldest got over that, I'm sure they all will. lol.
Your boys are so cute.
That's the best! What sweet boys you have!
Priceless!
CJ xx
What sweet moments! I do miss that stage! My nine year old however is planning to live with us for the rest of his life, so that will be fun.
Little boy love for mommy is priceless.
Becky
Oh my gosh, you have the sweetest little boys! So cute.
So sweet! Too bad they won't be saying that when they're 20, huh?
That is waayyy too sweet. I think they'd melt into syrupy goodness if you applied too much direct heat.
It must make you feel so good to have all of your favorite males in your life fighting over you. How sweet. I'd be ok with my boys living at home with me forever.
Oh yeah, that is truly sweet! When I was young I'd swear I was going to marry my Dad. Ha.
Yep little girls want to marry Dad,
and little boys want to marry Mom!
This is toooo cute!
Too cute. I have already made Francesco agree to never get married and stay with his Momma forever, now only if a 2 year old could put that in writing :)
That is way too much sweetness!!!! See? You would be ok with a fourth boy! Just another one to love you like crazy! :)
Ah tooo sweet! OOO yeah the touchy subject...being a MOM of Two boys...totally understand that POST one hundred percent!
My son and I had this same conversation not to long ago. Doesn't it just make your heart giggle a little. It is so unbelievably sweet!!!
Melt your heart!
So sweet.
I just pray that the women they do find will have all those qualities you mentioned! : ) I wish this for my boys too...
YOU'RE SO LUCKY. your boys are so affectionate.
oh, see? These are the quality moments. I have something for your bling shelf. :-)
So super cute!!! With conversations like that going on... you definitely wouldn't be disappionted if you did end up having another son.. Then all four would want to marry you!!! But if you did have a girl than at least one of your kids would want to marry daddy!!! Good luck! Things always have a way of working themselves out!!!
Definitely show them the transcripts of this when they're teenagers! How sweet!
Oh that is adorable!!
Remind them of this years from now, when they are dying to go to college! :)
That's so sweet, give em about 10 years.
Adorable!!
My daughter is marrying my husband and you can't tell her any different :-)
Aw. I have conversations like that with my daughter. She wants to marry her dad and when I tell her she can't she wants to know who she can marry and frets because she doesn't know who she is going to marry yet. She also thinks once she is a mommy she can sleep in bed with mommy and daddy. Uh, no. It sure doesn't work that way!
Those boys. Be careful they will be 30 and still living at home;)
So sweet. My daughter is the same way with my husband.
She makes him dress up for "marrying" at least once a week.
Oh. So. Sweet.
Don't you wish these moments could last forever :)
Can I marry you too??? lol ;) ha ha ha.
Seriously, toooo cute!!! I love the mother/son bond. It's so special! I want my boys to want to marry me. I might have to break their hearts, though. sigh.
Boys will be boys how cute.
That is just to cute!
How cute is that! Those are the moments that make motherhood so worth all of the tantrums and all of the challenges!
Totally cute! You're going to have a full house for many, many years to come! lol
Aw, my heart just melted!
How'd I miss this yesterday? Well, I have to say, sounds like you've got two boys headed to the seminary, hon. They can room with mine.
How wonderful that you wrote about this so you'll always remember...especially when they DO want to leave.
My 6 year old says he's going to get married but live next door... I can handle that, but I'm thinking a future daughter in law might have issues with it...
I want my son to live with me forever. Just kidding, well sort of. I guess I want the little 2 year old to live with me forever, not the 35 year old unshaven bachelor who stinks up the place with his dirty socks and eats all the food out of the fridge.
This was really sweet!
Cherish these moments, Kathryn... just so beautiful and priceless.
HOW PRECIOUS!
Nothing sweeter than those words in a mom's ear...although a chocolate/peanut butter cup blizzard from Dairy Queen comes DANG close!
Hug those boys!
Ahhh.. if only they stayed that way forever.. so sweet & loving..
Nowadays I get "You're the worst mom EVER! I can't WAIT to get out of this house!" :) Gotta love the hormones..NOT!
Aww...what sweet boys you have!
