WW- What She Said

I think I may print this out, make 100 copies, and carry them around in my purse to hand out like business cards when people give me "that look" after I say that I am a stay at home mom.

Awesome and so true! My favorite is when people without kids tell me how 'busy' they are.

The kitchen never shuts down, that's for sure. But don't get me started on the dr, dentist, ortho and eye appts. I'm certain I've spent a quarter of my life at those.

AnnMarie- That's why I try not to complain about this time. I always say that I had my time to be carefree and do what I wanted and now is the time of my family. And I know it will go too quickly and soon I will have free time again, and then miss when they were small.
Thanks for your insight! :)

Oh my goodness, AMEN! If you don't have them, you have absolutely NO idea.
WOW! I think I will share this one.

Verna- People without kids always think that it sounds condescending when we tell them that they just won't understand until they have their own kids but it is really true. You can't possible fathom all that it entails until you have kids of your own.

I'd love to give that lady seeking advice an afternoon with a preschooler and a newborn and see if she thinks differently, LOL :)

You're thinking about printing this? I'm desperately trying to find the "share" button so my equally "special" friends and family can read it!

Words To Live By

Be grateful for each new day.
A new day that you have never lived before.
Twenty-four new, fresh, unexplored hours to use usefully and profitably.
We can squander, neglect, or use them.
Life will be richer or poorer by the way we use today.
Finish every day and be done with it.
You have done what you could;
some blunders and absurdities crept in;
forget them as soon as you can.
Tomorrow is a new day.
You shall begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be
encumbered with your old nonsense.

-Ralph Waldo Emerson
