How cute and how precious. I can see the girls melting in a few years.

Tabor- They already do. It is pretty crazy. Joey gave a girl in his class a compliment the other day and told her he thinks she is great and the rest of the girls started bawling their little heads off. Uh-oh. ;)
All of my boys seem to be good with the girls in their classes. Lots of little girlie crushes going on. I don't know if it stems from having a little sister or what, but they are sweet boys. Plus, they are super cute (of course I am a little biased, I know).

I used to live for spelling bees when I was a kid. I was always the winner in my classroom, probably because I read so much. My kids NEVER had spelling bees! Isn't that odd? I'm glad to see that some schools still do them!

Oh how fun to go and see them! But I'm sure it was nerve wracking listening to him spell his word(s) and hope he would get them right! Always loved spelling beels when I was in school.

Back in the dark ages, when I was a kid, I loved it when it was time for the Spelling Bee eliminations to begin. Funny thing was I was never nervous at them but that was a drawback as I got too cocky and never got beyond 3rd place in the eliminations. However, on a really good note for our school district here back then, we had numerous kids who qualified to move up frequently to the state-wide championships as well as some who even made it to the nationals. And, some of them placed high in the nationals with at least one girl winning first place! Quite a coup for as small as our school district was and still is. Good for Ben for looking very confident of his spelling prowess and hope he goes far with that!

OOPS! My brain gets addled at times over names -make that congrats to JOEY! Sometimes, getting senile sucks more than usual.

Awww..way to go, Joey. Spelling was totally never my thing!

Words To Live By

Be grateful for each new day.
A new day that you have never lived before.
Twenty-four new, fresh, unexplored hours to use usefully and profitably.
We can squander, neglect, or use them.
Life will be richer or poorer by the way we use today.
Finish every day and be done with it.
You have done what you could;
some blunders and absurdities crept in;
forget them as soon as you can.
Tomorrow is a new day.
You shall begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be
encumbered with your old nonsense.

-Ralph Waldo Emerson
