(photo courtesy of people.com) I just read that Matt Damon ran the 10K in a relay triathlon this past weekend at the urging of his brother. He ran it in 59 minutes and 54 seconds. Um. The last time I ran a 10K (last Thanksgiving) I ran it in 58 minutes and 32 seconds. Ha-HA! I beat Matt Damon! Can you stand it???? Of course, he didn't really know he was going to be competing, and I had been running for a while, but still! I beat Jason Bourne, dude!

But if you want to hear something even cooler than that, go and visit Nap Warden. She is one badass chic. She just ran in a marathon this past weekend in freezing ran and blasting winds and finished DESPITE getting hypothermia. I'm. Not. Kidding.

I must say that I haven't got the bug to start running, BUT after reading your beginners post, it did inspire me to begin my "walking" again! I used to walk every day (did this for about a yr.), but then had to stop. Soooo, now I am inspired and got my neighbor to walk w/me and we are starting TOMORROW!!!! I'll let you know how it goes!!!!
