Happy 4th of July!

The 4th of July
is one of my favorite
days of the whole year.
****
Our town goes all out.
Parades, festivals, live bands,
and huge fireworks.
****
Love showing my boys
things they haven't seen before
and fun things to try.
****
The whole day is fun
from beginning to the end.
I can't wait to start!
****
Hope everyone has
a wonderful holiday
filled with friends and fun.

And, the same greeting right back at you too! Celebrate the day, the reason, carry it forward.
Peace.

Great Haiku. I can't believe I had A WEEK of reading to catch up on. What the heck is wrong with me. I've not blog walked in ages.

Have a great holiday!

Love the haiku! Is the weather over the lake supposed to be as gorgeous as ours here? (mid-70s, clear skies, cool at night) I went another haiku route b/c of the experience I had yesterday.
Have a great holiday!

Sounds fun! We have a low key day planned here. But it is nice to relax with friends.

I love that last picture!! How neat.

Our fireworks are cancelled because of the flood....they always let them go by the river. But we are headed to my aunt and uncles' house across the river in MO where fireworks are legal and we'll shoot some off there. Should be fun! Have a great 4th!

Fireworks terrify my cherubs. So, we will put them to bed early and watch our neighbors fire off their own displays tonight.

Great Fireworks Photo! I think I have one just like it somewhere! lol
The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays as well. Anytime family has an excuse to get together is great! I love the little things our small town does to celebrate too. It's like everyone forgets everything for a few hours and enjoys just being a proud and free American!

Have a great day!

Oh, I hope it was a great one for you!
I have visions of red, white and blue desserts warming on a picnic table while patriotic music plays-- but we spent it doing a sports day in a British school followed by a disco for wee tykes. It's just strange.
Enjoy your weekend!

Happy 4th.. Sounds like a blast! We did the exact opposite and retreated from all the noise and chaos, went camping in the mountains.

Words To Live By

Be grateful for each new day.
A new day that you have never lived before.
Twenty-four new, fresh, unexplored hours to use usefully and profitably.
We can squander, neglect, or use them.
Life will be richer or poorer by the way we use today.
Finish every day and be done with it.
You have done what you could;
some blunders and absurdities crept in;
forget them as soon as you can.
Tomorrow is a new day.
You shall begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be
encumbered with your old nonsense.

-Ralph Waldo Emerson
