All Is Right In My World

Order has been restored and today is falling in line quite nicely. Not only is my house clean and back in order, but I am disease free! Woohoo!!! I finally got my letter back from the Blood Center telling me that I did not and do not have West Nile Virus. Dur. I could have told them that. As a matter of fact, I did. But at least now I will be able to give blood again. When I am done being pregnant. And breast feeding.

Plus, I had my first doctor appointment today for the little blueberry in my belly. All is looking well and good (except for that stupid doctor's scale being WAAAAAAAaaaaayyyyyy off from my lovely, trusty, beautiful home scale) and healthy. Soon I will be putting up my little baby widget on my sidebar, but I still have to wait until it stops looking like an alien. I don't want to freak anyone out. ;)

Now I am sitting on the couch with the boys watching a movie and sneaking peeks at the snow falling outside. And Hoping that we do not get too much snow that calls off our New Years Eve plans for tomorrow.

What are your New Years Eve plans?

I'm so glad things are looking up. How fun to have your doctor's appointment. I'm happy that everything's going well with your little blueberry.

Little Blueberry is a cute name. ;) I think we're going out to dinner with the kids for New Years eve, and I doubt I'll still be awake at midnight....life sure has changed.

I love the little Blueberry name too! Very cute my dear!

Glad to hear that life is back in order. This mama has avoided blogging so that she too could get back to her OCD self, and put EVERYTHING away. Yikes. It about kills me every year. Not so sure that is normal you know?

Any how, I am with you on the scale being WAAAAAYYYYYYY off, whether you are pregnant or not. Certainly it doesn't have anything to do with the massive amounts of turtles I consumed. Candy kind of course!

And I so hope that your new camera was a Nikon!! Hoping the hubby pulled through and got you that one. Not that there aren't other good ones, I just LOVE mine! So I am partial.

Happy New Years Kat! Can't wait to keep reading what the new year will bring to you and your family!

Enough commenting don't you think. Goodness....

Good luck on the blueberry. :)

Aw, a clean house makes EVERYTHING better, doesn't it? I find my sanity level is much, much better if my house is neat. Otherwise, all bets are off! :)

Cute nickname;) We're hunkering down tomorrow night with movie rentals and steaks. Safe, sound and snug!

Glad your first look went well... when is blueberry's projected arrival...? We're looking at the 28th of June over here, per our first look a couple of weeks ago. ;-)

I'm glad to hear you don't have WNV, Though the scale at my dr. make me weigh less, so I like it.

OHmommy said...

I hope the snow holds off for a while and you get a nice night out! Wear those red pumps, no?

Not Your Aunt B said...

Why is it that the OB's scale is ALWAYS waaaay off? ;)

Glad you don't have WNV. Hope you have a lovely New Year's! We're going out to eat with some friends for dinner, then hanging out at a neighbor's house nearby for an hour or two (we have a sitter). We had to scale back the plans as the girls are sick, but they should be asleep long enough for us to do a little something fun!

Kat said...

OHMommy- Oh no. We have plans for tomorrow. But it is not what you think. Just taking the boys out to their favorite store (an hour away) for the day and then back home for a little party with just us and the boys. Nothing big.
But maybe I will wear my red shoes anyway! :)

I'm so glad the West Nile fear is over. And, yay for the nudger despite the lying doctor's scale. They always lie, don't they?

New Year's Eve Plans??? Are your with or without the kids?? We are home bound due to lack of babysitters!!! And also, nobody in my family really has a New Year's Eve party but we do get together on New Year's day for pork and sour kraut!!!

You work fast! I understand the desperation in it, gotta get it done. I relax too when it's clean.
A wittle blueberry, call it pink, a raspberry or something tiny and feminine, a peach pit. Well ok so I'm not so used to being witty. I know you really don't care. We think it would be fun for you to have a little girl, but shoot you could work on making your own ball club!
Happy New Year

I am laughing at your last two posts. It's a good thing you live in another state because I would never be able to invite you over here. That being said, I am glad you are back at peace and glad the bun is growing nicely.

New years plans? Packing up the kids to head to my brothers house a couple hours away. Looking forward to it.

I'm glad all is well in your world! I'm working for New Year's...yay! NOT! lol

you should put up the little blueberry in it's seahorse stage, it's cute... kind of.
Glad all is well on your side of the world! Happy New Year too you (we'll be spending ours packing--yipee).

Roxy Wishum said...

What? In one day? How can that be? You should have at least waited until the 1st to post this so we mere mortals could say "well, she has been cleaning since last year!"

We will ring in the new year with a small group of good (sober) friends.

Yay for great news! Baby and no West Nile. Tonight we are going to our church's family New Year's Eve party. It is a pj party and it ends at 8pm with a count down. The kids are really excited and I get to get them in bed early!!! Hope you and the boys have fun tonight.

We just got rid of the scale that was reading at the same weight for me since before I had kids... what was I thinking LOL?

Glad to hear that you're not a carrier of WNV and that blueberry (sweet nickname, BTW), is doing well.

Sounds like a nice New Years' Eve planned. We'll be visiting my Dad down in hospital again (hopefully he'll be home on Friday) and then a lowkey evening with the kids. We're too old now for anything else! We do have a bottle of Veuve Cliquot that I'd like to get into.

Have a wonderful New Year, Kat, it'll be an exciting one for you and your boys, and I wish you nothing but the best.

Sat on the couch a fell asleep! Love New Years!!

Glad all is right with the world. And, FYI, you can give blood while nursing. I double checked before I did it!

Anonymous said...

You are just like me...I held off on putting up the widget until my little cashew (now the size of an olive!) didn't look like a scary alien, too!

Kat said...

Krystyn- Seriously? My sis is a phlebotomist and she told me it is not a good idea to give blood while breast feeding. Hmmm.

CC said...

Hope that blueberry is doing great. ;)

And yeah for no WNV!

Words To Live By

Be grateful for each new day.
A new day that you have never lived before.
Twenty-four new, fresh, unexplored hours to use usefully and profitably.
We can squander, neglect, or use them.
Life will be richer or poorer by the way we use today.
Finish every day and be done with it.
You have done what you could;
some blunders and absurdities crept in;
forget them as soon as you can.
Tomorrow is a new day.
You shall begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be
encumbered with your old nonsense.

-Ralph Waldo Emerson
