Spring, Is That You?

Shall I dare to dream?
7 to 10 predicted-
Not one snowflake fell
****
Hooray and Yippee
Maybe Spring really is here
Crossing my fingers
****
The signs are all here
Melting snow piles and blue skies
A morning dove, too
****
Can't wait to go out
The boys dressed in spring jackets
No mittens or scarves
****
Happiness awaits
With promise of warm weather
I'll share it with you.

Woo Hoo!

My husband always wonders why Spring is my favorite season. I have to go on and on about flowers and birdies and bunnies, etc, etc. Here's hoping things turn green at your place very soon!

We had some really beautiful spring days. Last Saturday, in fact, was in the 60's and sunny and beautiful. It almost never snows here at all. Well, except for right bloody now. Yes, snowing. I love your haiku, and I'm totally on board with the spring thoughts!

Thanks for the comment about my crazy list making!! Haha.

I love this haiku - well 1) I love haiku's in general and 2) I love spring even more.

It definitely brought a smile to my face :)

Oh sure, just rub it in. *laughs* All of our snow had melted, and then we got a couple of inches dumped on us last night. When is it going to actually feel like spring?!? lol

Our (autumn) weather has been a roller-coaster ride.

Last Thursday was 40 degrees (Celsius - so it's 100+ Fahrenheit) and this Thursday it was 11 degrees with snow on Mt Baw Baw!!)

Yeah - I had snow. It sucked. They were even the big, pretty flakes. I still cursed them.

Love this song. Romantic, I tell ya!

Words To Live By

Be grateful for each new day.
A new day that you have never lived before.
Twenty-four new, fresh, unexplored hours to use usefully and profitably.
We can squander, neglect, or use them.
Life will be richer or poorer by the way we use today.
Finish every day and be done with it.
You have done what you could;
some blunders and absurdities crept in;
forget them as soon as you can.
Tomorrow is a new day.
You shall begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be
encumbered with your old nonsense.

-Ralph Waldo Emerson
