The Perfect Pair
"A friend may well be reckoned the masterpiece of nature."
Ralph Waldo Emerson
Words To Live By
Be grateful for each new day.
A new day that you have never lived before.
Twenty-four new, fresh, unexplored hours to use usefully and profitably.
We can squander, neglect, or use them.
Life will be richer or poorer by the way we use today.
Finish every day and be done with it.
You have done what you could;
some blunders and absurdities crept in;
forget them as soon as you can.
Tomorrow is a new day.
You shall begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be
encumbered with your old nonsense.
-Ralph Waldo Emerson

Aren't they gorgeous?
They are little butterballs of warmth this time of year!
How pretty! We don't get birds like that in the Seattle area. They're so colorful. : )
Great picture of them!! I don't think we have those types of birds here (and I'm drawing a blank on what kind of birds they are).
betty
Betty- The red one on the bottom is a male Cardinal and the top is the female Cardinal. I just loved that they were hanging out together. I wish they were sitting just a little closer so I could have zoomed in a bit more. As it is, I took this pic through my window so it is a little fuzzy, but ahh well. ;)
Wow! So pretty. I've never seen a cardinal that top color before.
Oh how cute and a such a gift for you to capture :)
Wow you captured them both in such beautiful light. I love the female cardinal's colouring.. even though the male is the one that is always so striking. This pair is beautiful.
Aw, they're so sweet. I miss the cardinals around here lately...
Oh my goodness, beautiful!
Indeed, Beautiful birds, Kat!! Nice captures..........
Wow, what a great picture!
You've disappeared! I hope all is okay with you and yours, Kat. Please check in when you can.
Like Hilary, I noticed you are MIA. Hope you are well and not frozen!
Thank you both! I'm fine. Just cold and grouchy. Not much to report. Other than the fact that this winter is rotten! I'm ready for summer! ;)
