A New Year

The beginning of a new year. A new start. A fresh chance. A time to right your wrongs and begin again. A time to try harder, do better.

So many people use the new year to inspire change. To get on a better path. And that's wonderful. But we don't need to wait for a new year to begin.  Each day is a fresh start. Each hour. Each minute. Each moment is an opportunity to try again. To live better.  Be kinder. Love deeper. Every second is another opportunity to forgive past hurts, mend relationships, apologize for hurts, and to start again.

I hope 2014 sees more kindness, more compassion, more love, and more understanding in our world. And I hope we all take the opportunity each day provides to start fresh, try again, and be our best.

Be grateful for each new day.
A new day that you have never lived before.
Twenty-four new, fresh, unexplored hours to use usefully and profitably.
We can squander, neglect, or use them.
Life will be richer or poorer by the way we use today.
Finish every day and be done with it.
You have done what you could;
some blunders and absurdities crept in;
forget them as soon as you can.
Tomorrow is a new day.
You shall begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be
encumbered with your old nonsense.

I do agree that we can make each day (hour/minute/second) as a new start instead of just focusing on the first day of the new year! Great thoughts about it :)

Happy New Year!

I adore that quote so much. I used to have it posted on my full length mirror in my bedroom when I was a teenager. :)

Happy New Year, my friend!
