MayDay! MayDay!

Today is the first day of May and already it's not looking pretty.  I'm scared.

Between Ben's doctor appointments (three in one week-for a possible *scary* issue which I may or may not talk about in the future), three spring concerts, five separate rehearsal times, two mandatory parent chaperoned field trips (don't get me started), graduation ceremonies (for 4K- really?), three boy scout meetings, two snack days, our anniversary, Mother's Day, a school fundraiser, and of course the usual madness that ensues with a family of six, I am seriously concerned.  If I can just get through these next three weeks I'll be a happy camper.

Until then I'll be hanging on for dear life.

How about you?  Is your May already making you crazy?  Are you as ready for summer break as I am?  And also?  What's your favorite wine?  I'm thinking I should stock up.

I go a little crazy with volunteering and two surprise visits from friends, but not nearly as crazy as yours. Breathe in and breathe out.

Oh wow! That is definitely the definition of overwhelming. Still, I'm sure if "scary" turns out to not be scary it will be much more manageable. You're in my prayers. I hope everything turns out well for Ben. If you want to email, I'm here.

I hope Ben is alright now. I'll keep the little guy in my best thoughts, Kat. And I can help you with the wine. I like a Shiraz Malbec by Fuzion. It's an Argentinian red wine which is very inexpensive.

Best thoughts to you and yours.. and a hug for good measure.

wow, what a schedule. I feel for you. Mine is much less hectic than yours. I hope all goes well with Ben. Please keep us posted as best you can or as you feel you can.

We'll be praying for Ben.

And, I'm overwhelmed...how do we do it all? Okay, I can't say "we" because we don't do all of that..so how do you?

I'm curious to know what is up with Ben, if you want to share, let me know. I'll pray for him.

And yes, MAY is nuts. We have a birthday in the middle of the month and if I had known this month would be so busy, well, I might have planned better. ;-)

We'll get through it. Good luck to both of us!

Thank you all for the prayers for Ben! I just wanted to let you know it isn't a super serious medical issue, but it is scary (to me). He has another doctor appointment today so we are keeping our fingers crossed that he won't need surgery.

Good luck. The end of the school year is always a panic here, too. Praying for your son.

Chateau St. Michelle Reisling! I will also pray for Ben and that in all your chaos there is some peace in quiet. You know more then the 2 minutes alone (ha!) in the bathroom.

As you know April was horrendous for me, so I scared to jinx myself but I must say I have high hopes for May.
Hope everything turns out fine for Ben! xoxo

Words To Live By

Be grateful for each new day.
A new day that you have never lived before.
Twenty-four new, fresh, unexplored hours to use usefully and profitably.
We can squander, neglect, or use them.
Life will be richer or poorer by the way we use today.
Finish every day and be done with it.
You have done what you could;
some blunders and absurdities crept in;
forget them as soon as you can.
Tomorrow is a new day.
You shall begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be
encumbered with your old nonsense.

-Ralph Waldo Emerson
