So many times I feel like I am faking my way through motherhood. I don't really know what I'm doing. I just try and act like I do. The fact that these four little people look to me and trust me to know what to do, how to act, what to believe in, still kind of leaves me breathless.
Other times nothing has ever felt more natural.
I can comfort him when he is hurt. And though I may not be able to fix everything, a few kind words from me and a snuggle on my lap can make everything better. What an amazing thing. To be a mother.
(Waiting patiently for the doc to look at his poor broken arm)

Oh the poor little man! Looks like he's being awfully strong, however!
oooooooo hugs! :( :(
What a trooper! I hope the break wasn't too bad. And I know what you mean about faking your way through sometimes.I would have had to put on a game face for dealing with a broken arm - that's for sure.
You know I have missed alot here lately. I am sorry the little tyke broke his arm. I hope it heals quickly. I just read all of your past posts this week.. I have been out of the loop working 3rd shift.. and trying keep up with life here too. Glad you got some running..
so grateful we haven't had any broken bones yet. although just this morning we were talking about it. Can't remember what brought it up...
Aww poor guy! But you know, I don't think any of us really know what we're doing. I mean, I sure as heck don't! And it is amazing, how they don't care. They just want us to be there!
Aw... I loved this post! You spoke my mind. I'm a new reader, and I love your blog! I'll be visiting again soon!
so true, but they don't know you feel like you're faking it. you are everything to them and more!
Sad to say I've been a Mommy for a LONG time, and I still feel like I'm faking it a lot of the time. :)
You're a great mom. Hope the arm heals up quickly.
