A Child's Faith

Joey: "I have a lot of friends."

Me: "Yes you do. You're a friendly guy."

Joey: "And my brothers are my friends too. And my baby sister is my friend too."

Me: "Your baby sister?"

Joey: "Yep. My baby sister is my friend too."

Me: "Honey, you don't have a baby sister."

Joey: "Uh-huh! I asked God for a baby sister, and He said 'Yes'!"

Me: "Oh. Ohhh-kay."

I don't know how so much affection can be wrapped up in one Joey. He's so adorably cute. I don't think you and Todd can disappoint him.

Keeping my fingers crossed!

Wouldn't she be the cutest little thing?

Goosey always says she asks God for triplet babies. I tell her that wouldn't happen, and she always tells me that's up to God.

I hope God hears Joey louder than he hears Goosey!

My daughter talks about her big sister all the time. She will see a pretty girl on tv, like around 18 and say, hey! why is my sister on tv? Weird.

That is so cute. I have a friend who said her kids sabotaged her with prayers for another baby! My oldest prayed for a baby sister for years and she finally got one and she is the happiest little girl in the world until her sister starts wanting to play with her toys :)

i'd be laughing if i didn't have a son who was 'ordered up' by his oldest sister when she was 4. let us know when you're due ;)

A baby girl would be wonderful,
nothing like the momma-daughter bond
you'll share........ until the teen
years! LOL It would be nice to
have 3 older big brothers to adore
her..... Joey is sooooo sweet!

Hmmmm.... Gavin told us we were having twins before we knew. Kids have that direct line to God you know. :)

Will you ask him to pray for me to have a girl too? ;) Then I just might think about having another baby.

Craver Vii said...

That's funny, but it would be so great if God gave him what he asked for. I love it when my kids join me in prayer, and isn't it cool that when children talk to God, it isn't fairy-tales and make-believe, but He hears the desires of their little hearts? I hope he keeps on praying, understanding more and more every day.

Uh-oh! Watching THAT space.... ;0)

Over from David's.

Words To Live By

Be grateful for each new day.
A new day that you have never lived before.
Twenty-four new, fresh, unexplored hours to use usefully and profitably.
We can squander, neglect, or use them.
Life will be richer or poorer by the way we use today.
Finish every day and be done with it.
You have done what you could;
some blunders and absurdities crept in;
forget them as soon as you can.
Tomorrow is a new day.
You shall begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be
encumbered with your old nonsense.

-Ralph Waldo Emerson
