Sweet September
Oh September, how you make us fall in love with you.
You fill our calendar with school and games and meetings, busying up every spare moment, exhausting us to our core.
Yet you beckon us to sit and enjoy the warm days. Deep breaths. Peace. Silence. Rejuvenating our spirits. Strengthening our souls. Comforting. Enveloping.
The nights cool and brisk. The sunlight fading. Football games with field lights, evenings with a roaring fire, warm pajamas, coffee on a chilly morning.
Still the days are warm and delicious, calling us to the outdoors. Therapy for our hearts and minds.
Oh sweet September, how you make us fall in love with you...
and look forward to October's start.

It IS getting busy this fall, and the colors on the cusp of changing. Pretty pictures, Kat.
Elaine- This is up at the cabin. It is usually past peak at this time but the colors were just getting good this weekend. At home the leaves really aren't changing yet. I think it is because it has been warmer than usual. And yes, you should definitely come and join us at the cabin sometime. Especially in fall.

No change here yet, but I suppose in a few weeks......
Bijoux- No change by us yet either. But this is at our cabin 3 plus hours to the north of us. It just started changing up there. It will probably be peak soon. But the trees around here are still green. What a difference a few hours make, huh? ;)

Man, it looks gorgeous there! I think sometimes fall comes in so quickly here...we get nice trees for a couple days, and then boom, winter!
Not so fond of September in Texas, but I am thrilled that October is finally here. :) Beautiful shots there. I am jealous!
Absolutely beautiful weather and wonderful pics. LOVE this fall weather and look forward to it all year, but it is always way too short!
