In the bathroom. Waiting. And waiting. And waiting. (please notice the books I have for whilst I wait)
There is always much waiting around when we begin potty training. The little tyke is not allowed to get off the toilet until it has been used (when I know for sure they have to go). This, of course, does not go over well with them but I have figured out how to make my little ham go from this,
this,
and this,
to this.
Apparently she likes to have her picture taken and when I asked her, "Can I get a picture of you going potty?" she was more than happy to oblige and finally used the toilet. Haha! Success!
Now I don't even need the camera anymore. We had a few, tiny accidents the first day and none since. We are on day three. Yippee!
I'm sure there will be more waiting around (and probably a few accidents too) as this process is still so new but I'm so proud of my lil chic. Wish us luck! And if you need me you know where I'll be.

Ah, the really fun days of child rearing, huh? Or, depending on whose perspective is involved, maybe the "not-so-much-fun days?" Loved the pics though as she went from sad to just a little unhappy and then smiles!
Enjoy The Help. I loved it.
Oh, Lord bless you...potty training time. It took my oldest over a year to get it and that was mostly because she was so stubborn she was going to WIN that game and not go on the potty. What did it for her??? Princess undies! i told her that Cinderella didn't like to get wet/dirty, and viola! Potty Training success!
Aww, I love these pictures. I can't believe how big she is!
Ah yes, we are doing that as well over here... so, so fun. I feel I've lost my magic in this department though, Bubu and Spike were potty trained by around 20 months and it really didn't seem that hard... Lala, well she is just driving me crazy. Thought girls were easier, so I'm thinking maybe it's just me.
wow.. isn't it this funny.. when your daoghter wil grow up she will definitely want to take off the last pic with her undies off your mom blogs.. haha.. such pics in India are used by elder siblings to prank upon junior siblings when they all grow up.. hahahahah.. love the picie.. my heart goes out to your daughter..
Those sad little faces about made my heart break. :)
Glad to hear she's doing well. Tell her to keep up the good work!!
Yay!!! Good job. What a milestone.
There are few things I hate as much as potty training. Good luck and I hope it's relatively painless for you!
Aww...a very familiar look tht I also see at my house on a daily basis, although I have to say this time around it is a wee bit easier and Jillian is catching on a lot faster. Good Luck!
When you're done there can you come on over here and train K? And bring your camera too! ;)
Glad you're having success!!
When she is completely trained you will be so relieved at least I was! No more diapers!!!
Awww.. sweet Grace. She's the life of the potty. ;)
What a cutie! Hooray for no more kids in diapers!! I can't wait for that day. I want to get started with Buttercup so badly (I even bought a new toilet seat that has a smaller seat built into it, it's so cool!), but I should probably wait until she can say a word or two. ;)
Way to go, Grace!!
i have to say there are days when i really miss having little ones but THIS stage....oh no. i am sooooo glad potty training is in the very distant past!
yay for the success! and, don't you just love the girl drama?
I am way way past the potty training ages, thank goodness. but i do remember them. I love these pics, they are so sweet and she is so adorable. she will love you when she;s grown when she sees these!!! congrats. Glad it was a success and hopefully the accidents are past you now.
