Beatin' The Heat

We are in the middle of a heatwave.

Today is supposed to be 95 degrees with a heat index of 105 and the humidity at 75%.  That's hot.  And to be perfectly honest, I love it.  Love.  Bring on the hot weather!  This is what summer is all about.

Today is going to be all about keeping the kids cool while they play outside.  We picked up a nice size pool the other day and we have already gotten good use out of it.  Looks like today is another pool day!

How do you stay cool on these hot days?

Currently, I stay cool by staying in the house ;) Not allowed to lay down outside because heat can make contractions worse.. ha!

The pool looks like a lot of fun!! Such cute kids:)

We chill in the exact same pool at Casa de Cripe!! Love, Love that pool. It has also been hotter then blue blazes here in Mid-MO. Why again did I move from dry heat?

We need one of those...we aren't doing so well with the heat beating around here.

We do the same thing...only Addie can't go in something like that yet. :::sigh:::
when I see other kids her age or younger - THAT'S when I always see a huge difference - and I feel bad for her. Although I don't know why - SHE doesn't care!!

Sweet sweet pic of them all!

Words To Live By

Be grateful for each new day.
A new day that you have never lived before.
Twenty-four new, fresh, unexplored hours to use usefully and profitably.
We can squander, neglect, or use them.
Life will be richer or poorer by the way we use today.
Finish every day and be done with it.
You have done what you could;
some blunders and absurdities crept in;
forget them as soon as you can.
Tomorrow is a new day.
You shall begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be
encumbered with your old nonsense.

-Ralph Waldo Emerson
