Top 10 Of 2010

Photobucket

We are one week into the New Year and this is my first post.  A glimpse back into the past year is a good way to start so I thought this was appropriate.

Looking back at all of last year's pictures is a perfect reminder of just what a wonderful year we had.  Yes, we had some very trying times, but thankfully I don't have any pictures of that.  Instead I have hundreds of pictures loaded with smiles and warmth and love.  I couldn't ask fore more.

I hope that 2011 brings just as many smiles, just as much warmth, and even more love.  And hopefully next year I will have just as difficult a time picking 10 (only 10??) of my favorite pictures of a wonderful year.

That last photo has to be the most lovely! You need to make that next years card. It is terrific.

What gorgeous photos! You are blessed with a lovely family.

I'm sorry for the loss of your dear father. And thank you for your kind and honest comments on my blog post "hope".

Let's hope 2011 is filled with peace and joy.

You are blessed with such a beautiful family and such warm memories and these photos are wonderful and capture it all. That second one takes my breath away, as does the last.

Sometimes I feel like I "know" you in person just from how much I can relate to you. I just wish I had a lake house to go to too! :) Happy New year my friend!!

With such a beautiful family, I can imagine how tough it would be to pick only ten!

The T-Rex shot is too funny and the Christmas tree picture with the kiddos in front is just beautiful. Great captures!

What sweet pics. Except for the one where the dinosaurs are about to eat the children. :-)

Wonderful pictures... the one of you and Grace in the rocking chair, so sweet!

I love the saying on the side of your blog- Before you speak ask; is it true, kind, necessary... such a great reminder! I want to start hanging inspirational, positive and spiritual quotes up on my walls and this might need to be one of them! A favorite of mine is- Stand up for what is right, even if that means you are standing alone. :)

I'm telling you Kat, I swear, those kids of yours just get better looking by the day and who'd have thought that could be possible when they were so darned cute to begin with!
Love that solo picture of little Grace -such a beauty she is! Keep taking and posting pictures of your children as they're too handsome a brood to keep them hidden away!

These are such beautiful photos! I like the new quote on your sidebar too. ;) Wishing you all the best in 2011. I just realized that your blog was one of the first that I ever subscribed to. It's been several years now! It's been fun to watch your kids grow.

Perfect way to start the new year :-)

I've been thinking that since I failed at the 365, but easily took over 365 photos (just not every day) to upload them into a Blurb book with a small "why" I took the photo with it. A nice summary of the year as a keepsake. You have such beautiful photos, you might consider doing something more tangible.

Beautiful images one and all, Kat. You do family photos really well.

Hilary- Ha-ha! I was thinking about how all of my favorites are of my family. I guess that says something, doesn't it? I have some absolutely gorgeous photos of colorful trees, flowers, sunsets, and of course my Lake Michigan, but these are my favs. I guess it is because I am partial to the subjects. ;)

PERFECT. All of them are great. I personally love the dinosaur pic - my kids would LOVE that! And it makes me sad to see the babe grow up so quickly....

You chose just the right images!

And, who gave Grace permission to grow up and into a toddler. Didn't you just have her?

Words To Live By

Be grateful for each new day.
A new day that you have never lived before.
Twenty-four new, fresh, unexplored hours to use usefully and profitably.
We can squander, neglect, or use them.
Life will be richer or poorer by the way we use today.
Finish every day and be done with it.
You have done what you could;
some blunders and absurdities crept in;
forget them as soon as you can.
Tomorrow is a new day.
You shall begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be
encumbered with your old nonsense.

-Ralph Waldo Emerson
