Blessed

Today was your special day, angel. You got dressed up all pretty in your beautiful gown, your fancy shoes, and your sweet little bonnet and went to church. You slept all throughout mass, and woke up smiley and precious as ever. You looked right at Father and listened as he read the blessing to you. You squinted and shook your head as he poured the holy water on your head, but you never cried. You were all smiles.
I was so proud to hold you. So proud of my little girl. So proud to let everyone know that you are not only my child, but a child of God too.
All too soon your baptism was over. You handled it all perfectly. Even the car ride home.
I hung up your special dress and realized that this day, just like so many other days in your life, had come and gone too quickly. Yet another reminder to cherish every moment I have with you.
I am so proud of you, Grace. I love you more than words can say. Congratulations, and God Bless You.

Aw, now you've done it -made me cry!
Such a beautiful tribute to a beautiful little girl and yes, how quickly the days -especially those of consequence like a Christening -whiz right on by too. Such a sweetheart your Grace is and such a gorgeous dress just for the occasion to show off not just how pretty she is but also just how calm, sweet and good too!
Peace to you -and to Grace as she begins her life anew anointed in Faith and Trust in our God.

Ahh...what a special day. She looked beautiful! Sorry I haven't been around much lately. I love the pics of the new house! How exciting. Is it starting to feel like home yet?

Hope you are feeling better. Be good to yourself. Find some time to get out for just a bit. It really does help!

Not only will you remember the day of her baptism but you have a wonderful blog with beautiful pictures that you can someday show her and if blogs are still around when she's a teen-ager, she will go and read it and know she is so loved by her Momma.

She's absolutely gorgeous Kat. What a precious little face! I have been thinking about you and wondering how you're doing. I should have visited before now, but I am all caught up. Your home is gorgeous. I love the mood in you kitchen, it's so pretty. And that chandelier in the entryway is stunning.

As for me, I am just biding my time. My third little man is currently 4 days late and subsequently making me look bad! I busy myself with chores and even look for new ones! If he keeps it up, expectations will be raised!

Thanks for sharing these precious photos, I sat here beaming for you.

Words To Live By

Be grateful for each new day.
A new day that you have never lived before.
Twenty-four new, fresh, unexplored hours to use usefully and profitably.
We can squander, neglect, or use them.
Life will be richer or poorer by the way we use today.
Finish every day and be done with it.
You have done what you could;
some blunders and absurdities crept in;
forget them as soon as you can.
Tomorrow is a new day.
You shall begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be
encumbered with your old nonsense.

-Ralph Waldo Emerson
