Belly Shot- 8 Months

With the construction of the new house under way, and the closing date on our house approaching, I finally feel like I have time to focus on the arrival of the little lady. And WOW. I am getting so excited.

I have finally started picking up little items of clothing for baby girl. It helps to take my mom along shopping with me because the woman just can't keep her hands off the cute clothes. She just keeps chucking little outfits in the cart. Very fun.

Of course, I still don't have a room to decorate, or even a dresser to put the clothes in, but I am caring about that less and less. I've decided that until the new house is ready to move into baby girl can sleep in my room in the pack n' play that we currently have. And the changing table that Ben no longer needs can work as a make-shift dresser if I can find some pretty little baskets for it. Just thinking about little things like that gets me so excited. Being able to plan and sort and get ready for another baby. It just makes me overwhelmingly giddy.

I think baby girl senses my excitement lately because she is rolling and kicking nonstop. It is so fun to watch my belly bounce. The other night I had the boys put their hands on my belly so they could feel her hiccups and their eyes became big as saucers. They want her to come out RIGHT NOW, and I have to explain to them over and over that she isn't ready yet and that we want her to stay put for a while longer so she can be healthy and strong. Still, it is hard for them to wait. I must say, I know how they feel.

I'm so excited for you. My baby girl is a year old now, and I'm STILL having a ball with the girly things and clothes and such. Oh, and you look wonderful!

It was fun to shop for baby boy things but I would often wander over to the girls' section and just ooh and awww at the adorableness of it all. After five nephews, we had a niece in our lives. She's ten today and I'm still not done shopping for her. Enjoy...and you look great!

How is it that you have three active boys, are pregnant in the heat of summer, have a new house under construction and are packing up your current one and still manage to look cute as a button!?
And yes, those itty bitty baby girls clothes are just so fun!

You're so close! You still look as gorgeous as ever. :-) Cannot wait to "meet" her. I would check Michael's/Hobby Lobby for baskets..

You look great! I am so excited for you! I was thinking of you the other day - I think one time we talked about people saying nasty things about having "so many" children...anyway, this woman had a baby and I said how cute he was and how much I love babies...she looked at me and said, "I think you have enough". Can you believe that one? Anyway, four is fantastic and 3 boys and 1 girl is perfect in my book.

The last couple of weeks are always so exciting -the anticipation building and all that -lus, the little extras in the clothing line that one buys, or has given to them then -all compiles into a really fun time.
You really look great -don't look all that big to be 8 months either!

I was always alternately fascinated and creeped out by the rolling and kicking inside of my wife's belly.

She'll be here before you know it -- then you'll see how much fun little girls are. They are VERY different from little boys!

Okay, you are looking way too good. It's just not fair.

I'm so glad the boys are so excited. That makes it extra special.

oh your belly is so cute, 8 months!!!!

It will be so fun decorating a baby girl's room. I know I loved it!

Be well, Kat!

Wow Kat you are adorable such a perfect little belly and that expectant happy smile! Your excitement is contagious we've all got it!
your absolutely right, a tiny new baby doesn't need much at all. They don't take up much room in the beginning at all. Who wants to put them down for long anyway?

Little fingers little toes, can't wait to see her. Is she Grace?

you're making ME excited, too!

You FINALLY look pregnant!! I am so excited for you. I wish I lived closer. I have a total weakness for buying baby gifts! The boys' excitement is so sweet, I bet they'll be great little helpers.

You are one gutsy woman. I just can't post a pic. I can't.

I'm huge. HUGE, I tell ya!

Words To Live By

Be grateful for each new day.
A new day that you have never lived before.
Twenty-four new, fresh, unexplored hours to use usefully and profitably.
We can squander, neglect, or use them.
Life will be richer or poorer by the way we use today.
Finish every day and be done with it.
You have done what you could;
some blunders and absurdities crept in;
forget them as soon as you can.
Tomorrow is a new day.
You shall begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be
encumbered with your old nonsense.

-Ralph Waldo Emerson
