WW- His Time To Shine

After years of watching his older brothers Ben finally got a shot at the Boy Scout boat regatta. The kid is full of hot air. He finished 4th in the race. Needless to say, he was thrilled to get his very own trophy. The kid has been in one pinewood derby and one boat regatta and got a trophy both times. How's that for lucky? Way to go, Ben!

That's awesome! Congrats to Ben! Scouting is such a wonderful activity. I have three nephews in Scouts, one who already finished his Eagle Scout project and one beginning his soon. I'm sad that my son didn't do Scouts too, but my husband had no interest in it :(

How fun! Love Cub Scouts. Our pack doesn't do the boat regatta...love that idea. They do the pinewood derby in January. Love Scouts and hope my son will enjoy it for years to come!

Words To Live By

Be grateful for each new day.
A new day that you have never lived before.
Twenty-four new, fresh, unexplored hours to use usefully and profitably.
We can squander, neglect, or use them.
Life will be richer or poorer by the way we use today.
Finish every day and be done with it.
You have done what you could;
some blunders and absurdities crept in;
forget them as soon as you can.
Tomorrow is a new day.
You shall begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be
encumbered with your old nonsense.

-Ralph Waldo Emerson
