You Capture- Fall

Today's You Capture theme is Fall.  Now, you probably have noticed that my last four or five posts have all been about fall, complete with a million pictures.  But guess what!  I have another picture for you! A bunch of them, actually.  But I'm not gonna post them all.  Nope.

I'm not gonna post the picture of all of us enjoying our new toy up north this past weekend.
I'm not gonna post yet another picture of the gorgeous trees.
I won't even post a pic of the field trip I chaperoned for both Grace's and Ben's classes today to the pumpkin farm.  Can you believe my restraint?

Nope.  I'm just gonna pick one picture to post.  A fairly simple picture for fall but I love it.

Beautiful! That certainly looks like a toy you could have a lot of fun with.

I would hate it if you didn't post pics! Love the new toy. Looks like fun and it also looks like it's already cold where you are (since everyone's bundled up)...ugh. I dread it. I love fall. I love the colors and the weather...but I do not look forward to winter.

Pretty. Must be nice to have a "real" Fall... ;) Love the leaf shot!

Robin- I LOVE fall too, but do not like the cold. This past weekend was pretty cold (about a high of 42 up north) and this morning was cold and muddy at the pumpkin farm. It is supposed to warm up to the 60s again this week, so here's hoping!

You are sneaky, aren't you? Fall is so awesome up there! I can't decide if I'm jealous of the coats and cold weather or thankful I wore flipflops today?

I love how well behaved your dog is in the picture of your blog banner, and in the toy/jeep that you weren't going to show us :)

I love all the pictures that you weren't going to post. They were great! But the picture you did post was absolutely beautiful!

Green Girl- I fought my hubby on getting one for a while, but the 30 year old 4 wheeler wasn't cutting it for the 6 of us. Then Todd's mom decided we really did need one up there since we take care of her 40 acres across the road for her so she bought one for all of us (including Todd's siblings and the other grandkids). WOW. It made cutting wood across the road SO MUCH EASIER. We tacked on the splitter and away we all went. So awesome. Plus, SO FUN!!!! :)

Love all the photos, but the one of the "indian" corn brings to mind a question: Have you ever cooked that sort of corn and eaten it? I don't know anyone who has. It always seems to be used just as decoration. I wonder if it's as tasty as it is pretty?

Kat said...

Suldog- Interesting question! I have never eaten it, and the woman at the pumpkin farm was sure to tell the kids not to eat it, but I don't know if cooking it would make it taste good. Or even popping it. Hmmm...

Words To Live By

Be grateful for each new day.
A new day that you have never lived before.
Twenty-four new, fresh, unexplored hours to use usefully and profitably.
We can squander, neglect, or use them.
Life will be richer or poorer by the way we use today.
Finish every day and be done with it.
You have done what you could;
some blunders and absurdities crept in;
forget them as soon as you can.
Tomorrow is a new day.
You shall begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be
encumbered with your old nonsense.

-Ralph Waldo Emerson
