After my last post I really wanted to try and make the most of this weekend and the few days we had left before school started. I think we did a pretty good job.
We went up north for the weekend. The weather was beautiful. There was much fishing, and playing, and smore eating, and relaxing. Todd would take one boy out fishing while the others fished off the pier. A good time was had by all.
On Monday we finished up our school shopping and then Tuesday we went to a small zoo.
The kids ran around, played at the park, and saw a few animals too.
After the zoo we went to one of our favorite parks.
The kids ran up and down the hills until they couldn't run anymore.
Then they rolled.
Today we took them to a big zoo. It was hours and hours of walking and fun.
I think we wore them all out good and proper.
It was a good way to wrap up our summer. I'm glad we got a chance to do a few things that we wanted to do before summer ended.
School can now begin. I guess.

It sure looks like everyone had a great time. Summer passes much too quickly.
Your first photo is so sweet. And the second one makes me just want to say, "Um, where did all the big kids come from?"
;P
Hope they have a great start to school...
Just love the pictures you post of the kids -so darned cute! And, looking at these tonight, I thought boy, Grace sure does look like she is older than just two years -has a more mature look about her and even the pictures of her climbing on that fence, she looks like she should be at least three. Not that she is that big, but just her stance, ya know. Glad you were able to finish out the summer with the kids and have a good spin to it too!
Glad you got to wrap up your summer on a positive note! Looks like the whole family has been having a great time.
Seriously..how are they all so big?
You really did "end of summer" good:)
You wrapped it up in style. I hope we get at least one lovely weekend before fall...
I'm sure you don't need this pointed out to you, but my your kids have grown!!! They are all so adorable, looks like you guys have wrapped the summer up nicely. :)
Looks like y'all had a great time. I wish it wasn't like a million degrees here in TX and we could take the boys to the zoo. We haven't been in forever.
Good for you! You seized the days. Looks like tons of fun.
a wonderful way to end the summer. I have yet to take M to the big zoo if I am thinking of the same one you are talking about. I keep thinking she isn't old enough yet to do the whole thing, but she probably would do just fine.
aw, glad you got to end it with a positive trip. as it should be. onto the fall....
