Words To Live By
Be grateful for each new day.
A new day that you have never lived before.
Twenty-four new, fresh, unexplored hours to use usefully and profitably.
We can squander, neglect, or use them.
Life will be richer or poorer by the way we use today.
Finish every day and be done with it.
You have done what you could;
some blunders and absurdities crept in;
forget them as soon as you can.
Tomorrow is a new day.
You shall begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be
encumbered with your old nonsense.
-Ralph Waldo Emerson

Because they are! Anything related to the sea is mysterious and romantic, isn't it? Lovely shot.
I wonder if it's because they are always portrayed that way in books? I can think of a handful of books off the top of my head that have a lighthouse involved in one form or another.
I love them too. Great shot. :)
I always wonder who is at the top keeping watch. Although pretty sure that doesn't happen anymore these days, I like the thought of it...
I love them too. And they speak romance to me also--waves crashing, guiding people to safety...
They are romantic--on the tip of nature, alone and near adventure.
I love lighthouses and collect them, actually I like collecting the ones I photograph or my husband. I think of them as romantic too and comforting somehow and very peaceful.
They are wonderful land scapes and a wonder what people think of them.. this a beautiful shot.. I love how you got the waves up around this light house..
I think Lighthouses are SO cool.
Oh, that is one of my favorite places in the world! Sitting on the other side of that happy, red lighthouse, with my back to the world, and the endless water stretched out before me...ooooh, I love it! I have photos of our Sheb. lighthouse everywhere with me here in Colorado to remind me that God has my back, and God has my future. Mysterious, romantic and just wonderful!
Who doesn't love a lighthouse? You have such a beautiful lake and get the most serene shots. I could stare at this all day if I didn't have school-morning chaos happening just behind me :-)
I think it is just beautiful! Have always loved the water!!! I think you have the best of both worlds, Midwestern trees, colors etc, and water like the ocean! Yay for Lake Michigan!
