I'm A Babywearer

In support of National Babywearing Week I thought I would post a pic of Grace and I. I just love wearing Grace, and clearly she loves it too. The minute I put her in the sling she is out like a light. And it is such a lifesaver. I wouldn't be able to take the boys to the park or even make their lunches some days if it weren't for my sling.

Let's hear it for babywearing!

Yay for babywearing. There's nothing better than a baby snuggled up close. I miss it. My "baby" is a load, although I still carry him on my back in my Ergo from time to time.

One could say that you carry yourself with Grace. ;)

I totally wish I would of had one when I had Mikayla. The mall in Alaska was 4 stories tall with 1 elevator! I spent a lot of time waiting with my stroller. Ha ha!

I wore both of my babies and they loved it. I still put baby L (16 mo) in the mei tei when she is fussy. It was the only way we could keep up our regular activities and not miss out on the fun.

I even had a baby carrier similar to yours when my 41 y/o son was a baby! They were great! And, you two look lovely!

Such a cutie girlie sling too! I was never a sling-user...my babies are too long and I'm too short!

I've worn every one of my babies, love it! I even wore two at a time when Atticus and Ira were little. One in the front and one in the back in one of those backpacks, when he could hold his own head up of course. I've always just used a sling but I was given two moby wraps this time around and I can't wait to try them out.

You look great! Grace looks so snuggly in there..

i tried to be a babywearer, and could never quite get the hang of it. I'm sure if I had more than one I would have had to figure it out!

Oh how I love me some slings! Though my little girl is starting to get too big to carry in one :) Enjoy her and your sling for as long as you can.

I never had a sling for either of the girls. But she looks very adorable in her sling.. and very cozy next to mommy where she seems the most content right now...

Oh so sweet! I love slings. Hunter either snoozes immediately in his, OR loves to stare at his Mama. :-)

Words To Live By

Be grateful for each new day.
A new day that you have never lived before.
Twenty-four new, fresh, unexplored hours to use usefully and profitably.
We can squander, neglect, or use them.
Life will be richer or poorer by the way we use today.
Finish every day and be done with it.
You have done what you could;
some blunders and absurdities crept in;
forget them as soon as you can.
Tomorrow is a new day.
You shall begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be
encumbered with your old nonsense.

-Ralph Waldo Emerson
