In an effort to embrace change I decided to do something I've been putting off for a while now.
Grace got her first real haircut.
For the boys' 1st haircuts they all went to a barber shop. For Grace's 1st haircut I thought it would be neat if she got her haircut from grandma (my mom used to be a beautician) just like I always did when I was little.
Grace sat perfectly for grandma and before you know it she was done.
We were both happy with the results. Long enough to throw back in a ponytail but not so long that it gets in the way. And she still looks like my little Grace, thank goodness.
Embracing change, little steps at a time. And it wasn't as painful as I'd thought it would be.

By the way, I had no idea her hair had gotten so long - wow!!
Elaine- I KNOW! Her hair was so long! I don't think I even realized it until I took that picture because I always had to have it back in a ponytail (which she never wanted) in order to keep it out of her face and to keep it from getting tangled and such.
And she does look a bit older now. :( *sigh*
Applause to you both. My little granddaughter finally got her hair cut and it made it so much easier for me to brush it when she visited!
awe, she is precious. Love the cut but it's true....seems like they go from baby to big girl in just a few snips!

what a sweet little haircut and how extra sweet that your mom could be the one to give it. nice little bit of girly time and that's a fun change, right ? ;)
