Just Thursday- Sick

Outside my window... it is rainy and dark and dreary and cold.

Today I feel... sick.  Again.

I am thankful... I am not as sick as I was two days ago.  I have never been sicker in my life.

Tomorrow I am going... to feel better.  I hope.

I am wearing...jammies

I wish... I could eat something.

This weekend... I'm going to catch up on my sleep.

I am reading... nothing

I am working on... getting better (notice a pattern here?)

Yesterday I... thought I was getting better.

I am hoping... I will be 100% tomorrow.

I am hearing... the wind whipping through the trees outside.

I bet you didn't know...  I lost 5 pounds in a day and a half.  Not good.

One of my favorite... tv shows has turned to crap.  Survivor was really boring last night.  Time to get rid of Boston Rob so it can get back to Survivor and not the Boston Rob Show.

I'm a reader of your blog and not sure I've ever commented before! Not even sure how I found your blog, lol! Just delurking to tell you that last week I had a "bug" too and it was NASTY! I lost 10 lbs in a week, 5 in a day and a half just like you. It was awful. Hoping you find yourself feeling better real soon!

Feel better! I wish I lived close enough to bring you soup and take your kids. Hope someone's able to help you. xoxo

Mary- Okay. So, I'm not alone then. It has been such a terrible year around our area for colds/viruses. We were doing so well, and then the last two months we got hit. Crazy.

Mom24- I was so sick two days ago Todd actually had to come home from work (it is really not easy for him to do that). It was awful. Yesterday was better. Today I'm feeling worse than yesterday but better than two days ago. Egad! I really don't want my mom or anyone to help cuz I don't want them to get sick. This virus has just about wiped out my kids' school. It is a bad one. Joey was out of school for 5 days. Anyway, thank you for your well wishes!

Oh, I'm sorry you're still so sick! That's awful, especially with the little ones to take care of. I hope you are 100% better tomorrow.

Oh hon, I'm so sorry! I hope complete wellness is JUST over the horizon, like RIGHT! THERE!

I'll say a prayer for you. xo

oh boy this is grim. you got the virus your poor little boy had and he was going from both ends. yuk.
I am more than sorry. Who is holding down your fort? you have a baby to tend too and 3 other kids but then you know that! I am so the Queen of stating the obvious. No one can do it better. Can you hold down a saltine cracker? Get some real ginger ale and just sip it.
Major bummer. I'll be PRAYING for you and that the rest of the family doesn't get it. Hope the germ wipes are being used on everything. You'll get tired of washing your hands but you gotta be hyper uber vigilant.
Feel better--big soft hugs...

love you
KD

Karen- Oh, everyone has already had it. It went through the entire family. Each kid had it for one or two days, except Joey, who had it for five days. I have basically been cleaning up poo and vomit for a week and a half, now I've got it. I'm going on day three. It is nasty. Everyone we know has had it.

I am trying the BRAT diet (bananas, rice, applesauce, toast) but so far I've only had toast. Good grief. At least the body aches and chills, fever are gone. Now I don't feel like I'm dying anymore. I just don't have any energy.

These viruses are getting more and more vigorous. So sorry. Take good care of yourself once you are well so that your body can continue to heal.

Off with Bob!! I'm helping, even though that show won't show up here until sometime 2013. I'm so sorry you're not well. It is cool that you dropped weight, but since you didn't really need to, I guess that wasn't much of a perk, was it.

Feel better soon, and winter--go away already!

hiya kat, hope you are feeling loads better today and hope the kiddos didnt get hit with whats going on. a guy i work with came to work really sick two weeks ago and i had to work with him.. thankfully i didnt catch what he had.. he almost passed out at work a handful of times and refused to go home. i am not sure why the supervisor just didnt put her foot down and send him home. but what ever is going on is nasty.

Oh by the way this is tweety from nbrsspot. i had to set up a new blog. I lost my password to my other e-mail and google was beign a snag about retrieving it for me when i contacted them..

Ugh. I'm sorry you've been so sick! I'm a little late to this post, so I'm hoping that you're already feeling better as you read this. I used to love Survivor, but somehow lost track of it. Lately, I'm addicted to The Amazing Race!

hope you're feeling better by now. I've had a cold for nearly 3 weeks. I wish my snot could be used for something productive like diffusing bombs or strengthening levies. seems like such a waste to produce so much of it, and then throw it away.

I hope you feel better soon. It is never fun to be sick.

Words To Live By

Be grateful for each new day.
A new day that you have never lived before.
Twenty-four new, fresh, unexplored hours to use usefully and profitably.
We can squander, neglect, or use them.
Life will be richer or poorer by the way we use today.
Finish every day and be done with it.
You have done what you could;
some blunders and absurdities crept in;
forget them as soon as you can.
Tomorrow is a new day.
You shall begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be
encumbered with your old nonsense.

-Ralph Waldo Emerson
