Signs I Might Be Pregnant

If you ever read any of the following sentences in a post of mine I may be pregnant:

1- "I went for a run this afternoon and ended up with a really bad migraine." For some reason when I am pregnant I have a hard time running in the first three months without getting a migraine.

2- "My stomach is goofy. I don't feel like eating." I can always eat. It doesn't matter if I am hungry or not. If I don't want to eat it is a strong sign I may have morning sickness. That is one of the only reasons I would have for skipping a meal. Me likey food.

3- "I am so tired I can barely sit up. Last night I went to bed at 8:00 and I'm still tired. I just want to sleep all the time." Exhaustion is the first thing that sets in when I am pregnant and, being a night person, going to bed early would be very strange.

4- "I was reaching up to get a glass out of the cupboard and I think I pulled a muscle in my stomach. So weird." Probably the second sign I get when I'm pregnant. It is the only thing that made me take a pregnancy test the third time around. That odd pulling/straining feeling is very familiar to me.

5- "Guess what, everybody. I'm pregnant!" When I find out, you'll find out. I really don't think I'll be able to keep it secret for longer than it takes me to wash my hands and run to the computer. Heck, I may even take you into the bathroom with me to take the test. Okay, wait, I wouldn't do that. Yuck. That's just gross. And I suppose I should tell the hubby first, right? Fine. But you'll all be on the short list.

So there you have it. I thought I should give you a list of signs to watch for since you were all so interested in my possible pregger status on Tuesday's post. No baby right now, but we are definitely keeping our hearts open for another.

I'll keep my eyes open for you to say one of them. And, I'm with you. I could never keep it to myself.

I'm so excited!! I'm hoping for some great news from you soon.

The way I figured it out with my 3rd pregnancy was that I had indigestion and heartburn....I've only had that when I was pregnant. I had attributed it to my being sick with a cold that week. Once I did the math, I realized I was a week late and it probably wasn't due to the cold. Sure enough, I had a positive pregnancy test that night!

I'm glad you cleared that up. I was wondering!

So do you tell people you are pregnant right away or do you wait a while to make sure everything is okay first?

Man, I totally thought you were going to be announcing that you were! Now I am going to be watching carefully ;)

Wright- We usually tell our family and friends right away because we figure that if something bad happens we will need their support anyway.
We are trying to space Ben and the next one out a bit more but I also said that with Tommy and Ben and that didn't work out. We'll see! All in God's time. :)

Yay for babies!

I start feeling sick exactly 5 days after conception. I feel like I'm going to ralph, but never do. I just have to keep eating to keep that feeling at bay. Might be why I get fat :)

I hope it happens for you soon. I must admit I'm a bit jealous. I know we don't have the room or the money for another baby, but I am a bit sad that we will never have that particular joy again. I will definitely keep you in my prayers and enjoy hearing all about your adventures and living vicariously.

Even so... I STILL have some great baby girl things to pass on when you're ready ;-) (I'd have to buy something new for a boy-- three moves later, the boy stuff is gone)

Well Holy Heck I thought you were tellin' us you were in #5!! Most of this stuff doesn't sound like fun but it's SO worth it, right? Prayers for things to happen as you wish. ; )

Aw, babies!
I find out I'm pregnant when I start barfing 24 hours a day. It's not a subtle thing.... I don't know how I'd ever keep it anything like a secret.

Oh the abdominal muscle thing. I remember that well. It was my first sign with my 2nd kidlet. Fingers crossed that you'll see the result you want when you pee on that stick. :)

Words To Live By

Be grateful for each new day.
A new day that you have never lived before.
Twenty-four new, fresh, unexplored hours to use usefully and profitably.
We can squander, neglect, or use them.
Life will be richer or poorer by the way we use today.
Finish every day and be done with it.
You have done what you could;
some blunders and absurdities crept in;
forget them as soon as you can.
Tomorrow is a new day.
You shall begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be
encumbered with your old nonsense.

-Ralph Waldo Emerson
