Happy Mother's Day!
i carry your heart with me(i carry it in
my heart)i am never without it(anywherei go you go,my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing,my darling)
i fear
no fate(for you are my fate,my sweet)i want
no world(for beautiful you are my world,my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you
here is the deepest secret nobody knows

marvelous...and funnily enough another friend of mine posted this poem just a couple weeks ago. it's quite worthy.
That is so beautiful. Thank you for that. Somehow, in all the hustle and bustle of trying to figure out how everything is going to get *done* (when does that ever happen anyway?), I have lost sight of the most important thing about this weekend--Mother's Day, and celebrating the incredible miracles that are my children. I was even planning on cleaning and grocery shopping on Sunday. You have given me a much needed reality check. Things will have to be gotten to another time, our Mother's Day will be spent celebrating our family.
You have such excellent taste. I *love* that poem. The even used it on ER a season or so ago (they all blur together anymore) for a wedding. Beautiful poem. Hope things are settling down a bit with your dad. I still think about your family and hope everyone is finding some peace.

I was reading it and thinking 'Wow Kathryn, great poem!' I laughed when I saw it was by EE Cummings.
