I think I may print this out, make 100 copies, and carry them around in my purse to hand out like business cards when people give me "that look" after I say that I am a stay at home mom.
Awesome and so true! My favorite is when people without kids tell me how 'busy' they are.
The kitchen never shuts down, that's for sure. But don't get me started on the dr, dentist, ortho and eye appts. I'm certain I've spent a quarter of my life at those.
ha! and now my kids are "big", my youngest is 10...finally I have time for me, my husband and my friends, the gym, book club, on line classes, bib le study....yep...and 8 kids. they grow up, and you get your time back AND have a family...
AnnMarie- That's why I try not to complain about this time. I always say that I had my time to be carefree and do what I wanted and now is the time of my family. And I know it will go too quickly and soon I will have free time again, and then miss when they were small. Thanks for your insight! :)
Verna- People without kids always think that it sounds condescending when we tell them that they just won't understand until they have their own kids but it is really true. You can't possible fathom all that it entails until you have kids of your own.
And the feeding. The constant $&#@*% feedings.
ReplyDeleteGG- HAHAHA!!! Yes! Why do they have to eat SO MUCH???
