WW- Egg-quisite!

My mom hand-painted these eggs when I was a little girl, and every year they come out of hiding a few weeks before Easter. I always look forward to seeing them again. It just doesn't feel like Easter until these delicate baskets are carefully placed around my mom's house.

  14. Those are gorgeous! What a great way to get ready for Easter. My aunt used to have eggs for everyone with a riddle that came out to your name. Someone would read the riddle and everyone would try to guess who it belonged to, and she was really clever so some were very difficult. But her decorations were never that beautiful.

  28. Looking at those hand-painted eggs reminds me of my grandmother. I remember she used to blow out the eggs, hand paint them and then hang them up around the house. What a treasure they are.

  33. Your mum must have had very steady hands :) It's lovely for you to have such beautiful keepsakes.

My kids had a go at painting some ceramic ones over the holiday, which I'm sure will come out again and again each year from now on, too. :)
