This is my favorite animated short of all time. It was created (music and animation), directed, and the voice of the legendary Bud Lucky. Bud Lucky is one of the innovators of hand animation and switched over to computer animation with Pixar and has been with them since Toy Story. He did some work for Sesame Street 30 years ago. You may remember The Ladybug Picnic? That was Bud Lucky. This clip is all Bud Lucky, and it is genius. Great animation and music with a fabulous message. I found it on disc #2 of the Incredibles movie. I am not one to put videos on my blog (the quality is not that great), but I just couldn't help myself. You MUST watch the whole thing! Bring the kids to the computer to watch it too. They will love it! :)
Boundin
Don't worry, my music will be back soon. I just didn't know how to pause it for the video so I ended up taking it off completely. Oops.
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoyed the video!
Okay. I am so showing that to the kids when they are back from school. SO CUTE!!! I love the pictures and sound, so perfect! thanks Kathryn!
ReplyDeleteLike OhMommy, I'm saving this to show my kids after school!
ReplyDeleteI watched this at work and am sitting here trying not to snort too loudly and attract attention to myself. That is so my sense of humor!
ReplyDeletethis is my favorite one! This one and I raelly like the snow globe one that is trying to get the girl. They are sooo cute
ReplyDeleteI'm mourning....I'm crying....
ReplyDeleteWhy Brett, Why did you not consult your wife (ie me!) before you made this big decision!
My fellow packer fan Kathryn....
How do I leave without him???
Waaaaaaa!
This was nominated for an Oscar in 2003. It love it!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Bud. I would laugh if I weren't so stinking sad. Thanks for your note and yes I heard it and share your pain. I actually cried when it broke. I'm SO WEAK. There has been full coverage on local stations here (from 9:00Am on). He was such a stellar athelete and an even better human being and role model. WAAAAA is right. WAAAAA.
ReplyDeleteHey did you ever read the Deanna Favre book? If not, I highly recommend it. I read it in 2 nights it was so good.
ReplyDeleteThat is adorable - I need to show this to Alexis - she will love it! Have a good day Kathryn - Kellan
ReplyDeleteThanks do much for sharing that adorable video. I'm going to show it to my kids.
ReplyDeleteMy kids love that little video almost more then the Incredibles! I agree it is great.
ReplyDeleteThis is so weird! My husband and I were just trying to remember the name of this short. We've seen it somewhere, but we've never seen the Incredibles, so I can't remember where.
ReplyDeleteI will definitely let the kids watch it in the morning.
BTW, no more word verification, just for you!
No No No!! The one that shows Jack Jack and Babysitter is the best short!!!
ReplyDeleteBut I love Boundin' too! :)
This was really cute, I'll have to show it to the kids in the morning. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThis was so cute! I loved it! The music and dancing are wonderful. My daughter will love it :) Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWe loved the video. Harrison couldn't stay out of daddy's face while he was trying to listen to the primary results last night and I called him over to watch it with me. He says, "Sorry, Daddy! Gotta go watch video!"
ReplyDeleteDaddy wasn't too heartbroken at that moment.
We spent the next 15 minutes watching Pixar videos!
I remember the Ladybug Picnic!!! I have seen Boundin' but couldn't place the voice. You have connected the dots for me and now I know where I heard it before. Have a great day!
