T...I just heard something about this on the radio. They said that scientists theorize that a solid 8 hour block of sleep is actually NOT a natural sleeping pattern. That when we first fall asleep it's an exhausted "first sleep" wherein we rest, then we wake up and should meditate or process the thoughts swirling around. Then we fall into "second sleep", in which we dream. The problem is we fight this process and stress out when we wake up.
