I'm trying so hard to work on what to let go, what to crack down on, being less critical, controlling my anger...it goes on and on. Nice to know others are working on things too. Thank you for that.Mom24https://www.blogger.com/profile/00061152728345287775noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7390236678783638686.post-63783961362898557642013-11-16T21:29:06.038-06:002013-11-16T21:29:06.038-06:00I am loving your new haircut. Hopefully they won't wrap themselves up in knots. ;)

ewe are herehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13339650361453626546noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7390236678783638686.post-1672121833343050822013-11-16T09:20:31.826-06:002013-11-16T09:20:31.826-06:00Thanks, everyone! And it will take some practice to figure out how to style it too!

Bijoux and Betty- The city I live in is known as the #1 freshwater surfing site in the world. Surfers come from all over to try it. So, surfing isn't all that popular in most parts of Lake Michigan (and I have no idea about the other Great Lakes) but it is here.

Green Girl- Surfing here has it's challenges. It is a little more difficult without the saltwater and then of course you have the VERY cold water. BUT, no sharks! So that is a huge bonus. I swear someday I'm gonna try it. :)Kathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14339665205284492242noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7390236678783638686.post-60167163447636548252013-11-15T23:52:10.689-06:002013-11-15T23:52:10.689-06:00Your hair cut is adorable!! They like consistency at that age, I do believe.

I never really thought of surfers at a lake, LOL, so thanks for that picture and telling about them. I just always associated surfers with the ocean like we see them here.

It is hard to let our kids grow up and loosen the grips so to speak on them, but you are wise to do so earlier than later, as hard as it might be. They need to learn to succeed and what to do when they fail on their own (of course with the guidandce of their parents depending on age/circumstances/etc.) but ultimately our job is to guide them to be self sufficient adults. It is hard though to let go (speaking to myself here; I still have trouble letting my 24 y/o go LOL :)

Awesome with your son and his song leading!! Truly a gift I do believe!

bettybettyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06323135450742337670noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7390236678783638686.post-71030545450461170122013-11-15T18:03:21.225-06:002013-11-15T18:03:21.225-06:00Your hair is so stinkin' cute and sassy!

It's not something I can mentally handle.

This is going to sound weird, but I had no idea people surfed on any of the Great Lakes. It looks SO good on you, but I think you could pull of anything!
I hope the stuff keeping you away from the blog is ALL positive from now on (or, at least as much as humanly possible). =D xoxoCyndy @ Back in the Bushhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02106750680265704567noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7390236678783638686.post-44838179483718535662013-11-14T19:56:23.006-06:002013-11-14T19:56:23.006-06:00Love your haircut! It just seems to have been so busy since school started. I mostly have lots of family checking in, not a following like you:) but there is still pressure to make sure to get updates on. And I like to look back at all the updates myself too...so fun to see life happening. And last but not least, I so appreciate your openness and honesty about "life" and your feelings related to events. I too like to have control and react very quickly and negatively when I am upset and really need to try to hold my tongue. It's easy to say I'm going to be better in my mind, but SO hard to change in the day to day situations. Great job for being a mom who wants to constantly be the best she can be for her kids! Sorry for the long reply:) Lots I wanted to say! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!Wisconsin Girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02126902969299740691noreply@blogger.com
